Now, this on its own would not qualify one as a Kook - maybe the Weird
Science Award, but the KotM requires more. However, it is also common among
Usenet Religious Scientists for them to have... shall we say
'interesting'?... tactics in defending their views - and Elijah is
no exception. Following in the fine Kook tradition, Elijah attempts to
close down the accounts of those that disagree with him. When cornered,
he begins to call his opponents 'lesbians' (male or female) - and launches
into a long tirade against homosexuality. Most interestingly, once, when
questioned by one Garrison Netzel about whether he *really* wanted to
destroy Chrysler (which had fired him for trying to preach to his co-
workers while on the job), Elijah replied with a list of all the Netzel's
in the USA - with addresses and phone numbers. And, as with most Usenet
Religious Scientists, Elijah believes that there is a coming Armageddon
that will destroy us all - and that he is the prophet to warn us all.
Elijah won the award by a comfortable margin.
