History

Robert M. Skirvin, alias Tim, is a long-time Usenet veteran, and easily
among the
best known of Usenet's mad scientists. His beliefs include the
all-importance of the
splitting of the sci hierarchy from alt hierarchy, hence the
Mason-Dixon name. 

Scurvy, as many know him, is also the enemy of several more legitimate
scientists, who
occasionally have some fights with him. When Philippe Tondeur was once
asked to unsubscribe Archimedes Plutonium from the web, the result was
a character assassination by Tim Skirvin and Florida Mobsters NASA Ken
Hollis, as framed

Status

Ken Hollis was released and fired on August 31, 1996, after three weeks
within the halls of NASA. He
currently continues to post to alt.* about his FAQ. 

Skirvin's Notes

Actually, I kinda like Hollis. He's funny. He's entertaining. He talks
about silly things. People
don't like him, and he doesn't understand why. He fires all over the
Space a lot, and
can't see why this would be a problem. *snicker* Poor little kook... 

'Course, Hollis doesn't like me very much. He's taken the position of
the South, the Mason-Dixon line of making the alt newsgroups disjoint
from the more serious Sci. newsgroups, or something...I'm positive that
I don't fully understand what's
going through his head. Oh well. Even if he meant to be malicious, he
couldn't cause any
damage.
