This year, I was able to take the entire afternoon off to go help out with my Dad's famous Apple Lab (as seen in previous years - 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002). Why the change? Most importantly, this year promised to be the last year for the lab, since the apple farm should be gone before next October. Once again, a huge horde of students and community folks appeared to attend the lab, and once again they had a great time, not quite understanding why we felt a feeling of loss...
